"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." , Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV)
Let’s be real for a second: running a business is hard.
Building a business while trying to stay radically committed to your faith? That can feel like you're trying to walk a tightrope in a hurricane.
I’ve been there. I remember those early mornings, staring at a spreadsheet and wondering if my "aggressive" growth goals were actually honoring God or just fueling my own ego. I felt like I was living two different lives. On Sundays, I was all-in for the Kingdom. On Monday mornings, I was all-in for the "hustle."
The gap between those two worlds felt like a canyon.
But here’s what I discovered (and what we teach every day at Christian Business Revolution): you don’t have to choose between a thriving business and a radical faith. In fact, when you integrate the two, your business becomes a vehicle for something much bigger than a profit margin.
Today, I want to share a few practical, "in-the-trenches" ways you can stop separating your Sunday worship from your Monday workflow.
The Myth of the "Divided Life"
Most business training tells you to grow at any cost. "Scale faster. Dominate the market. Outwork everyone."
But as Christian entrepreneurs, we operate under a different set of rules. The problem isn't the growth; the problem is the source of the growth. When we buy into the myth that our "spiritual life" is separate from our "business life," we end up exhausted and misaligned.

Integrating faith isn't about putting a fish symbol on your business card. It’s about a radical pivot in how you define success.
Instead of asking, "How do I make more money?" start asking, "How do I steward what God has placed in my hands today?"
1. Build Mission-Driven Systems (Not Just Revenue Drivers)
If you want to grow without losing your soul, you need systems that reflect your values. Most growth systems are designed to extract value from customers. Kingdom systems are designed to provide value and reflect God’s character.
Here’s how to audit your current systems:
- Your Hiring Process: Are you looking for the "cheapest" talent, or are you looking for people whose values align with your mission?
- Your Customer Service: Does your team have the authority to show radical grace to a difficult customer?
- Your Sales Funnel: Is your messaging rooted in manipulation or in solving a genuine problem for your audience?
When your systems are aligned with biblical truth, growth becomes a natural byproduct of your integrity. You can learn more about this in our Christian Business Check Up.
2. Lead with Integrity (Even When It Costs You)
Integrity is easy when things are going well. It’s "radical" when it costs you a sale or slows down your timeline.
I remember a situation where a potential client offered a massive contract, but they wanted us to "tweak" some numbers to make a report look better. It would have been easy to justify it. "It’s just a minor change," I told myself.
But radical faith requires radical obedience. We said no. We lost the contract.
And you know what? A month later, two more clients came along that were a perfect fit for our values.

Leading with integrity means:
- Transparency: Being honest about your mistakes with your team and your clients.
- Stewardship: Treating your business assets as God’s, not your own.
- Boldness: Making decisions based on prayer, not just market trends.
3. Use Prayer as Your Primary Strategy
We often treat prayer like a "last resort" or a polite "extra" at the end of a meeting. Radical faith treats prayer as the primary strategy.
If you’re struggling with clarity in your messaging or direction, don’t just hire another consultant. Take it to the Lord first. We’ve seen entire businesses turn around when the founder committed to spirituality in the workplace through prayer.
Ask God for:
- Wisdom to see opportunities others miss.
- Discernment to know which "open doors" are actually distractions.
- Peace that transcends the anxiety of the marketplace.

Practical Steps to Get Started Today
Integrating faith doesn't happen by accident. It’s a series of intentional, daily decisions. Here are three things you can do right now:
- Do a Values Audit: List your top three business goals for the quarter. Beside each one, write down the biblical principle that supports it. If you can’t find one, it might be time to rethink the goal.
- Schedule Your "First 15": Dedicate the first 15 minutes of your workday to Scripture and prayer before you open your email. Check out our resources on getting more from reading the Bible to help guide this time.
- Find Your Tribe: Entrepreneurship is lonely. Find other Christian business owners who will hold you accountable to your faith, not just your financial goals.
Rev. Lyle’s Coaching Corner
Hey friends, Rev. Lyle here.
When I’m coaching entrepreneurs, I often see them getting stuck in what I call the "Performance Trap." They think that if they just work harder or follow the "right" secular strategy, God will bless them.
But God doesn't bless our hustle; He blesses our obedience.
My challenge for you this week is simple: Identify one area in your business where you are relying on your own strength instead of God’s guidance. Is it a difficult employee? A product launch? A cash flow concern?
Surrender that specific area to Him in prayer every morning this week. Stop trying to "manhandle" the outcome and start trusting the Process-Giver. Radical growth starts with radical surrender.
