from business failure to success

(Hint: It’s not just about fixing strategy—it’s about aligning with the Source.)

If you’ve ever felt like your business hit a wall, I want you to know—you’re not alone.
You’re also not stuck.

Here’s the truth:
Business is a tool. God is the point.

Success isn’t measured by profit margins alone—it’s measured by whether your business is drawing people closer to God.
And sometimes, failure is the very thing God uses to sharpen that focus.

Let’s Be Honest: It’s Not Your Business

Every skill you’ve picked up…
Every win or loss you’ve walked through…
Every open door and closed one…

God’s hand has been guiding the whole time.
The business you’re building? It’s not just yours—it’s His.

That doesn’t mean we ignore revenue or strategy. But it does mean we lead differently.

We show up to serve.
We walk in integrity.
We seek wisdom before making moves.
And when we fail? We let God turn it into fuel for the next step forward.

What Faith in Business Actually Looks Like

Let’s get practical.

I work in marketing. A lot of business owners come to me asking about Facebook ads or strategy sessions. And I love helping with that.

But somewhere in that conversation, I’ll usually pause… and pray.

Not in a dramatic “sound the trumpets” kind of way.
Just a moment to say:
“Lord, guide this conversation. Give me wisdom. Let me serve this person well.”

You’d be amazed what happens next.

Walls come down.
Struggles come up.
Faith gets reignited.

I’ve had clients who opened up about their marriage, their health, or their fear of failure—and it all started because I invited God into the meeting.

When we show up for people, God shows up in the middle of it.

This Isn’t Just For Pastors

“But Lyle, you’re a Reverend. That’s easy for you to say.”

Fair—but let me push back with a little Scripture:

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood…”
—1 Peter 2:9

Translation: You’re a minister, too.
Whether you’re a plumber, a coach, a graphic designer, or a car salesperson—if you’re in Christ, you’re called to represent Him in the marketplace.

And that means your business is ministry.
Your meetings can be ministry.
Your emails, your service, your attitude—all of it can point people to Jesus.

You’re Uniquely Positioned for Kingdom Impact

God’s given you access to people I’ll never meet.
He’s given you skills, empathy, humor, and influence that someone out there needs.

And when your business lines up with His purposes?
You become a Kingdom force—not just an entrepreneur.

Ready to Align?

If your business feels stuck, don’t just change your marketing.
Check your foundation.

Ask:

  • Have I invited God into my business decisions?

  • Am I showing up to serve or to sell?

  • Do I measure success by growth or by faithfulness?

Start there.
Then add in the basics:
Bible reading
Consistent prayer
Involvement in a local church
Generous giving
Joyful worship
